More cousins than you know what to do with

Quote of the, well, history of humankind from Dr. Spencer Wells, population geneticist, director of The Genographic Project. Together the National Geographic Society and IBM are collecting DNA samples from around the world in order to map human origins and early movements of the human race.

"We're all effectively cousins," Wells pointed out, "separated by no more than 2,000 generations."
