Israel plans nuclear strike on Iran

The Sunday Times (London) is reporting that Israel is planning to strike Iran's uranium enrichment facilities at Natanz with tactical nuclear weapons. Two additional targets are also alleged to be under consideration: another uranium conversion facility at Isfahan and the heavy water reactor at Arak.

The Times says that an Israeli source said that "as soon as the green light is given, it will be one mission, one strike and the Iranian nuclear project will be demolished."

According to the Times, military analysts are saying that the reason the plans are being leaked at this time is to increase pressure on Tehran to cease its enrichment activities. The plans are also likely meant to serve as a warning to the rest of the world that Israel is not about to stand idle while Iran develops nuclear weapons.
