Morocco: al Qaeda and the Algerians

The New York Times reports that 62 terrorist suspects with links to Al Qaeda and the Algerian Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat have been arrested in Morocco.

This is not the first time we've seen al Qaeda and the Algerians playing a prominent role.

Nawaf Obaid and Anthony Cordesman reported that Algerians comprise some 20 percent of the foreign jihadists operating in Iraq.
